Stage 2: The Interview

At Mijem, we believe it is critical to hear and get to know our applicants before making our final decision for recruitment. We’d like to hear about your past experiences and skills that may help you excel at Mijem. This is the opportunity for you to ask questions and go above and beyond to make an impression.

 
 
 

Stage 3: The Test

You will be provided with a case study for us to assess your creativity and problem-solving skills. This case study will ask of you to come up with an recommendation given the ambiguous set of numerical data and limited time. This allows us to understand how you identify and solve tough challenges you might have to face when working with Mijem.

Stage 4: Fit Assessment

During this stage, the applicants will undergo a fit assessment including cultural fit. We review the candidate profile to see if there is a fit for Mijem.

 
 
 

Stage 5: Reference Checks and Offer

At this point of the process, all tests and assessments have been reviewed and reference checks will be conducted to confirm the information provided by the applicant during the application process. When all is good, congratulations, a representative will contact you to discuss the offer.

The sales and marketing department is a performance-based team with talented individuals looking to apply their skills to achieve the growth objectives of Mijem. The team plans campaigns, experiments, learns a lot, and reaps the rewards of its achievements. You are a great match if you are the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

As a digital marketer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and implement SEO, PPC, email, and online strategies to drive traffic and app installs
  • Create link building strategies, content marketing strategies, and social media presences
  • Develop engaging online content including clickbait, forums, videos, graphics, and blogs
  • Work with a budget, meet deadlines for multiple projects and ensure ROI on marketing campaigns, intervening if things are going off-track
  • Keep abreast of new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends
  • Research tactics, and other duties not mentioned

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing, hotel, science or other related discipline
  • Knowledge of marketing, online channels, and offline channels; demonstrated creativeness
  • Enthusiastic individual keen to continuously learn and improve; a team player with dedication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills; positive attitude and is energetic, outgoing, and organized
  • Solid proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and digital marketing (Facebook ads, Google AdWords, etc.)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in an environment involving multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time during peak campaign periods; travel is reimbursed or covered by the company; have possession of passport and vehicle

Notes: On some occasions, flexibility with work hours. Due to the timing of marketing campaigns, the candidate might be required to work some weekends that involve marketing campaigns but will receive other time off in lieu.

Possessing a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits, the Back End Developer will be working in parallel with other members of the technology team. The Back End Developer will be involved with the research, design, coding, and testing associated with the Mijem API, databases, and applications. You are a great match if you are the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Back End Developer: you will be responsible for the following:

  • Coding may involve use of: Sails.js, Node.js, MongoDB, Haproxy
  • Monitor new technologies and assess their potential to become new products or services and work closely with product development
  • Other duties not mentioned may be required from time to time

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is an asset
  • Previous experience with back end development and agile software development methodology
  • Strong understanding how technical systems operate – from front end to back end
  • Knowledge of: JavaScript, Java, JSON, HTML, CSS, DNS, web, REST, AWS, C++, C, Gitlab
  • Experience with 3rd party libraries and APIs
  • Experience with front end development, Bootstrap, Bower, Ruby, and Python an asset
  • Strong team work skills with a passion for code quality and adherence to standards
  • Curious, energetic, loves to tackle technical challenges – willingness to learn solutions that exist
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in an environment involving multiple priorities
